Supershero: Susan Scheer

 Dr. Susan Scheer inducted into the Love Superhero Hall of Gratitude in July 2017 for being wicked smart, generous and kind. Susan manages the surveillance data for the San Francisco Department of Public Health. I've learned heaps from her about how numbers can tell as story and the value of understand what's behind those numbers - how were they created, what was counted, what was not counted, as well as being certain you've adjusted for influences.  Her brains are only part of my deep admiration. She also generously shares what she knows.  She answers questions with kindness.  I'm often intimidated to dig into data. Susan's been an invaluable resource in helping so many folks to understand that a number, trend or percentage.  A deep bow of gratitude to Susan Scheer.
