Superhero: Teena Francois-Blue

Teena Francois-Blue inducted into the Love Superhero Hall of Gratitude in May 2022 for her mad skills and passion leveraging data to inform impactful grassroots, community-led change. Teena brings a devotion to her work, honed by years of deep involvement in the numbers to understand the geography and specifics of the greatest needs. Teena’s expertise was evident when she helped organize a community tour of Chicago to highlight the services of Black-women led breast cancer programs - able to share from memory the trajectory of the numbers in a given neighborhood or the expected change from a new initiative.

“Every community in Chicago has an oasis.” Teena Francois-Blue

Ever grateful to Teena for her generosity sharing her knowledge and passion to help guide the priorities and work that needs to be done next.

About the Love Superhero Hall of Gratitude

“The plain fact is that the world does not need more successful people, but it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every kind. It needs people who live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane.” David Orr

I deeply admire those who "live well in their places." The ordinary and the unsung who offer to the world the very best parts of themselves without expectation. This is a beautiful expression of love in her calm, persistent, generous manner - offering a ripple of change (a metamorphosis) to the world. Inductees to the Love Superhero Hall of Gratitude are caped in recognition of their contributions to a love-filled world.
