The word agitprop originated in Russia, - combination of the words 'agitation' and 'propaganda'.  Agitprop was utilized during the communist era to define the sharing of communist ideas through art, theater, music and writing.  At the time, the term propaganda did not have a negative connotation and was simply the 'dissemination of ideas.' Outside the political realm, agitprop was used as a term to describe the dissemination of beneficial knowledge. (Sources: wikipedia and merriam-websterdictionary)

I'm fascinated with how ideas are shared, what ideas stick, and other's ideas that captivate me.  Discovering historic or modern day pieces of art, writing, or theater as a agents of social change is thrilling.

The "i love you, too" message is agitprop.  While certainly simple, this concept may be completely radical or counter to the way someone perceives themselves or their place in this world. Agitprop "i love you, too" messages have created

art

and a variety of writings posted to the

LoveYou2.org

blog.  People all over the world have printed and hung "i love you, too" signs. Photos and stories have been submitted from Germany, the Dominican Republic, Samoa, Kenya, Pennsylvania, Houston, Washington DC, San Francisco, New York, San Diego and more!

Thank you for joining me in becoming agitprop and sharing beneficial knowledge.  Yes, love is louder.  Yes, I love you, too.
