Naina presenting to a full house at the US Conference on AIDS on the intersection of women's experience of violence & HIV from a social justice perspective.Naina worship (don't we all!?) by her co-presenters Dr. Eddie Machtinger (UCSF's Women HIV Program) and Dr. Liz (San Diego based Christie's Place).Naina Khanna inducted into the Love Superhero Hall of Gratitude in October 2014 for her vision of a just world. Naina currently lives this work as the Executive Director of the Positive Womens' Network - USA. I honor Naina for her passion, dedication, motivation and gently fierce power with which she lives and loves in the world. I learn from Naina often (I am currently changing my language to "women living with HIV", thank you very much) and welcome the opportunities to interact with her compassionate but bold vision for the world.About the Love Superhero Hall of Gratitude!“The plain fact is that the world does not need more successful people, but it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every kind. It needs people who live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane.” David OrrI deeply admire those who "live well in their places." The ordinary and the unsung who offer to the world the very best parts of themselves without expectation. This is a beautiful expression of love in her calm, persistent, generous manner - offering a ripple of change (a metamorphosis) to the world. Inductees to the Love Superhero Hall of Gratitude are caped in recognition of their contributions to a love-filled world.
