Rush Asawa SOTA PSA features the love notes

Nearly two years ago, the Ghost Ship fire in Oakland killed 36 people including a teenager who attended the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts/SOTA. My bestie's son attends SOTA. She took in love notes the first school day after Ghost Ship and helped the community to create an altar of loss and remembering.

She sent me the photo this week. The "get love. give love." lives on in pictures, serves as a reminder of what will not be forgotten as long as memories remain intact. I'm taken with the small acts we do that create healing and ceremony for those around us.
