Reading Love: Charlie's Corner

What a treat to be invited to Charlie's Corner, Noe Valley's new magical children's bookstore, to read my favorite books for Valentines Day!By far my favorite Valentines Day book is "Somebody Loves you Mr. Hatch", a true expression of the value of sharing our love with friends and neighbors a like.I also read Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree" (why oh why did I chose this when I cry ever time I read it....held it together in the store), a story book expression of the Hafiz quote:“EvenAfterAll this timeThe Sun never says to the Earth,"You owe me."LookWhat happensWith a love like that,It lights the whole sky.”We then wrote love notes together, and ate heart shaped cookies from the Noe Valley Bakery, and talked about what love looks like when you share it.Head on over to Charlie's Corner to add your own note.
