Joaquin Miller Elementary (Oakland, CA) Love Week May 2019

For one week in May, the entire school devoted themselves to thinking about, writing and sharing love notes.

Spearheaded by parent volunteer Heather Ladov, each of the teachers were given printed copies of the LoveYou2 love notes to use in their classrooms. Students were shown the LoveYou2 mini documentary for inspiration. Then students, staff and faculty began writing love notes.A dedicated community bulletin board in the school's main hallway became the focal point for their "public display of affection."

On Friday, all the teachers and staff wore love-themed t-shirts created by Heather.
