Get love. Give love. Today is 11 years of loving you.

11 Years of Loving You

Eleven years ago - at the beginning of the Thanksgiving week - I clicked “publish” on the Loveyou2 blog.

With this click, I started this public love note writing adventure, an attempt to discover if a lover is someone who loves.

More than the slogan “changing the world one love note at a time” writing and sharing love notes publicly has changed me.

From painting and hanging love notes without permission in public places (this sign was recently hung in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico) to an almost daily practice of writing and sending love notes to family, friends, acquaintances - love notes are a grounding, centering practice at the core of my life.

This is 4,015 days of waking up and going to sleep thinking about the #GetLoveGiveLove adventure and how I might love you best.

This #GetLoveGiveLove adventure is now the scaffolding upon which my life is built. The surprising interactions with strangers, the constant creating and the connections born of publicly sharing love notes. The wild possibility of it all!

How might you bring the #GetLoveGiveLove into your holiday gatherings - virtual or in-person?

You can download love notes (they print easily at home or can be sent to the printer for fancier printing & cutting) and follow the tips for love note writing events to bring love notes to your holiday dinner or a community gathering.

What if each person sat down to their place to a customized love note? How about a wreath or altar in a central location at your home where people can write and share their gratitudes? What if at the start of your holiday meal, you went around the table and each person shared gratitude?

I am grateful for YOU. Here is to the continued #GetLoveGivelove adventure.
