Love note installation at Tyson's funeral.
Less than one month after a stage IV cancer diagnosis, my younger brother Tyson (the 12th youngest as he referred to himself) passed away on July 19th.
Our hearts are broken with his wife, three young boys, and my parents.
He died - as he was greeted as a baby - surrounded by a large gathering of family.
I will miss Tyson’s sense of humor, seeing him play with his boys, watching him laugh with Melissa, and being near his close bond with my youngest brothers.
The last few weeks have reminded me how hard Webers show up in the highs and lows. of life, always. So grateful for the ways we gather, support, and connect.
Hug your people. Slow down. Spend the time. Everything can change faster than you ever imagine.
A love note installation at Tyson’s funeral - an event that was both heartbreaking and healing.
So much gratitude to the Elk Ridge wards for hosting the service, feeding all 100+ family members, and setting up the poignant visiting room. Funeral potatoes and industrial vacuuming are love.
One of the gifts was being able to learn from Tyson’s friends and coworkers about their stories, remembrances, and reflections.
The detailed stories bring him to life. Remember when you rode our goat. Remember when you rode through the car wash on the front of the car. Lots of references to Red Bull and my favorite quote from Seth’s eulogy “Now let’s get to work.”
